Felix E. Lopez, Ph.D. is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of Lopez and Associates, Inc., an industrial-organizational psychology consulting firm in Great Neck, NY.
Dr. Lopez has been associated with this Firm since 1972 and has served in the capacity of President since 1982.
In addition to his management responsibilities, Dr. Lopez has maintained an active account executive responsibility for numerous clients across major industries. (References are available upon request).
His particular fields of specialization include the development,
validation and installation of personnel selection, promotion,
training, performance management, and development programs in
private industry. He has recently overseen and participated
in selection and technical competence testing projects in various
industries as well as the design and development of various
training programs. Dr. Lopez also performs assessments of candidates
for key professional, managerial, and operating positions.
He has also worked extensively with management and professionals
on matters ranging from succession planning to strategic planning
to individual professional and management assessment. Dr. Lopez
is asked to assist Boards of Directors in the not-for-profit
sector, to serve as a facilitator of strategic planning initiatives,
team building, organizational development, member surveys, and
successor CEO searches. He has been an invited speaker to the
American Gas Association, the Electric Power Research Institute,
Edison Electric Institute, the Railroad Personnel Association,
National Retail Merchants Association, and others.
Dr. Lopez holds a Ph.D. degree from Columbia University in Personnel
Psychology. He also earned a Master of Arts degree in Personnel
Techniques and a Master of Philosophy degree in Personnel Psychology
from the same institution. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree
in Psychology from Holy Cross College.
Dr. Lopez is a licensed psychologist in the State of New York
and has served as a consultant to the NYS Psychology Board assisting
with psychology licensing examination scoring and construction
(essay component). Dr. Lopez is a fellow of the American College
of Forensic Examiners and has been awarded a Diplomate from
the American Board of Psychological Specialties (specialty in
Psychological Assessment, Evaluation, and Testing) from this
organization. He also holds a certificate of professional qualification
in Psychology from the Association of State and Provincial Psychology
Boards.
His affiliations include the American Psychological Association
(APA), the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology--APA
Division 14 (former member of State Affairs Committee), New
York State Psychological Association (former member of
Ethics Committee, Past President Personnel (I/0) Division, and
former Chairperson of the Transition Committee), the Metropolitan
New York Association of Applied Psychology, Society of Human
Resource Management, Human Resources Association of New York,
and The Scientific Research Society of North America (Sigma
Xi).
In 2004 Dr. Lopez was awarded a Distinguished Service Award by the New York State Psychological Association for his work with the Association.
Dr. Lopez has co-authored articles published in Personnel
Psychology, Public Personnel Management Journal and
Consulting Psychology Journal, and The American Banker.
He is also the author of numerous professional book reviews
appearing in Personnel Psychology and Contemporary Psychology.
In the past he has also held adjunct teaching positions in the Roth Graduate School of Business Administration of Long Island University and in the Graduate Business School and Graduate School of Industrial and Labor Relations at New York Institute of Technology.
Dr. Lopez was a line officer in the United States Navy onboard amphibious assault ships. He held the positions of Communications Officer and Operations Officer.

Sandra Fox, MA
Senior Consultant
Sandra Fox is a Senior Consultant of Lopez and Associates, Inc.,
She first began at the firm as an Intern while obtaining her
Masters degree. She has been involved in the development and
validation of various selection focused projects, specifically
in the form of aptitude based exercises, job content testing,
structured interviewing and performance exercises.
Sandra obtained a Masters degree in Industrial-Organizational
Psychology from Hofstra University, graduating with high honors.
She also received her Bachelors degree in Psychology from Hofstra
University and graduated as a member of the Golden Key International
Honor Society.
Sandra has co-authored research papers that have been presented
at the Society of Industrial Organizational Psychology
annual conventions. The topics of these papers refer to the
role of physical attractiveness biases in the selection decision
making process and the comparisons between the US and Indian
cultures in those decisions.
Sandra is an Associate Member of the American Psychological
Association (APA) and Society for Industrial Organizational
Psychologists (SIOP).
